PayComplete announces the sale of its Cash Components business for the European market used in self-service environments in the vending machines and automated retail, self-service laundries, and car wash systems to MatiPay, a technology company focused on automated retail and digital payment solutions.
The portfolio includes widely used products such as the Currenza C2 change-giver, RM5 HD and RM5 EVO coin validators, and the Laundry PRO and Laundry Point payment systems for self-service laundries.
The transaction will enable PayComplete to focus on its core product offering that includes tech-enabled smart safes, smart cash and coin recyclers, cash-in-transit solutions as well as specialized processing technology for banks, mints and cash centres.
Through the transaction, MatiPay becomes the owner of the intellectual property of the vending products, as well as responsible for their production and future development roadmap.
Matipay also will act as exclusive distributor of bill-validator Coinco Vantage for already specified market.
The integration ensures continuity for the hundreds of thousands of installations currently operating across Europe. Support services, spare parts availability and product evolution will be managed through MatiPay’s industrial and technical organization.
By combining PayComplete’s established hardware technologies with MatiPay’s digital ecosystem — including electronic payments, software platforms and remote management tools — the operation supports the development of increasingly integrated solutions for automated retail and self-service businesses.
MatiPay will also strengthen its European presence through representative offices in France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland, supporting OEM partners and operators across these markets.
“We are building a European platform for automated services. Integrating these technologies allows us to combine reliable cash acceptance hardware with digital platforms that help our partners manage their locations in a smarter and more connected way.”
Matteo Pertosa, CEO of MatiPay
“We are excited to partner with MatiPay to support the continued growth in the Cash Vending Components business. The transaction will allow PayComplete to continue focusing on delivering tech-enabled cash management devices and smart solutions to the retail, transportation, cash-in-transit, and cash centre end markets.”
